Our Role
The AVID Group is a partnership between the Australian Government through the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and the Australian vegetable industry. It is a nine-member Group appointed by the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
Its role is to oversee the investment of the $3 million dollars provided by the Australian Government to implement seven foundation projects identified in the Industry Partnership Project report ‘Taking Stock and Setting Directions’ for the vegetable industry. The Group’s approach is to work collaboratively with industry stakeholders to create the frameworks for investing in projects with the highest potential to create positive and lasting change in the industry’s profitability, growth and sustainability.
Our Mission
The AVID Group will encourage all members of the Australian Vegetable Industry to focus on the needs of consumers and expanding new and existing markets when making decisions.
